These Terms & Conditions explain how our doorstep delivery service operates. By creating an account or placing an order with The Milk Round Company Ltd, you agree to the following terms.
1. Our Service
The Milk Round Company Ltd provides a local doorstep delivery service for milk, bread, eggs and other grocery products.
Delivery days vary depending on your area and delivery round. When registering, customers must provide their correct address and postcode so that the appropriate delivery round and available delivery days can be determined.
2. Regular Orders
Customers can create a regular order for products they would like delivered each week.
Regular orders will continue on the selected delivery days until they are changed, paused or cancelled.
Customers are responsible for ensuring their regular order is correct. Changes must be made before the applicable order cut-off time to take effect for the next scheduled delivery.
3. One-Off Orders
Additional products can be added as a one-off delivery without changing your regular weekly order.
One-off items will normally be added to your next eligible delivery, subject to product availability and the relevant ordering cut-off.
4. Order Cut-Off Times
Our standard order cut-off is 8:00pm for the following eligible delivery day.
Some freshly prepared products may have an earlier cut-off. For example, fresh bread currently has a 12:00 noon cut-off.
The applicable cut-off will be shown when ordering where necessary.
5. Deliveries
Deliveries are made to the address registered on your account.
Customers can tell us their preferred delivery point and provide safe-place or access instructions.
Where permission has been given to leave an order unattended, we will make reasonable efforts to leave it in the requested location. Customers should ensure that their nominated delivery location is accessible and suitable for the products being delivered.
Delivery times may vary according to the size of the round, traffic, weather and other circumstances.
6. Holidays & Pausing Deliveries
Going away? Customers can use their account to pause deliveries for a holiday and tell us when deliveries should resume.
Please submit holiday requests before the relevant order cut-off wherever possible.
7. Weekly Billing
The Milk Round Company Ltd operates a weekly billing system.
Your account records the products delivered to you during the billing period, together with any applicable credits or adjustments.
A weekly invoice or statement will then show the amount due.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered by The Milk Round Company Ltd.
8. Unpaid Accounts
We want to keep our payment arrangements straightforward and fair.
Invoices should be paid by the stated due date. If an account remains unpaid, future deliveries may be temporarily suspended until the outstanding balance has been cleared.
Suspending deliveries does not cancel or remove an outstanding balance.
If you believe an invoice is incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can investigate it.
9. Returnable Glass Bottles
Where a product is supplied in one of our returnable glass bottles, customers can leave the empty bottle out for collection on a future delivery.
Where a bottle-return credit applies, the appropriate credit will be added to your Milk Round account once the return has been recorded.
Our current bottle return credit is 5p per eligible bottle.
Please return bottles reasonably clean and empty. Bottle credits apply only to bottles accepted by The Milk Round Company Ltd as part of our return scheme.
10. Product Availability
We will always try to supply exactly what you have ordered, but occasionally a product may be unavailable.
Where we cannot reasonably supply an item, we may omit it from the delivery and ensure that you are not charged for an item that has not been supplied.
We will not substitute materially different products without appropriate consideration of the customer’s order.
11. Fresh & Perishable Products
Milk, dairy products and other chilled or perishable goods should be collected from the doorstep and appropriately stored as soon as reasonably possible following delivery.
Once products have been successfully delivered to the customer’s nominated delivery location, responsibility for appropriate storage passes to the customer.
12. Problems With a Delivery
If something is missing, damaged or incorrect, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
We would much rather know about a problem and have the opportunity to put it right.
Where appropriate, we may provide a replacement, refund or account credit.
13. Cancelling Your Milk Round
There is no intention to trap customers into a service they no longer want.
You may cancel your regular deliveries through your account or by contacting us, subject to any orders already processed after the applicable cut-off.
Any outstanding account balance remains payable following cancellation.
14. Changes to Prices
Product prices may occasionally change due to changes in supplier, production, transport or other operating costs.
Current prices will be displayed through our ordering service. We will not deliberately apply a new price retrospectively to products already delivered at an agreed previous price.
15. Your Account
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact and delivery information and for keeping their account details reasonably up to date.
Please keep your account login details secure and contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
16. Privacy
We use customer information to operate the delivery service, administer accounts, process orders and payments, communicate with customers and meet our legal obligations.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
17. A Local Service
The Milk Round Company Ltd is built around providing a reliable and friendly local doorstep delivery service.
If something goes wrong, please contact us. We will always aim to deal with genuine problems reasonably and fairly rather than hiding behind these Terms & Conditions.
